Connor, an alumni of Tyler School of Art’s glass program, currently works as a studio assistant at Remark Glass. Outside of our studio he works with all types of glass and enjoys incorporating other mediums, such as wood and paint, in his artwork.
Originally from Long Island, Gina is the Studio Supervisor at Remark Glass. She began working here in 2017 as a fellow while completing her undergraduate degree at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where she majored in Glass Art. Aside from working at Remark Glass, Gina is a skilled neon bender and flame worker.
After completing her bachelor’s degree in Community and Environmental Development, Jazmin continued her education with the completion of a Master’s degree in Sustainable Design. Her passion for building environmentally sustainable communities led her to work with Remark Glass. Jazmin is currently Remark’s Sustainability and Office Coordinator. In addition to being the first point of contact for customers, she also works to ensure our zero-waste efforts are successfully implemented.
Mark Ellis is from Trooper, Pennsylvania. He studied glass at the old Tyler School of Art and went on to work in high end glass and metal fabrication for various companies and projects for over a decade. Most recently he was employed with Ray King Studios fabricating large scale laminated dichroic glass and stainless sculptures for institutions all over the world. At Remark he specializes in glass blowing and metal fabrication. Mark Ellis and Rebecca Davies are married and spend almost all of the rest of their time with their young son.
Rebecca Davies is from Connecticut. She went to Smith College in Northampton MA and moved to Philadelphia in 2009 to complete an MFA at the University of the Arts. After taking one course in glass she found work in the industry, first in stained glass, then at a blown glass lighting company. After their child was born she and her husband Mark Ellis moved into a studio in the same building as Danielle Ruttenberg. They worked together to develop an entirely different recycled glass making process and founded Remark Glass.
A native Philadelphian, Danielle attended Tyler School of Art and operated a glass art and fabrication business out of Port Richmond from 2007 to 2015. Her personal artwork and professional projects have been exhibited both locally and internationally. In 2016, she co-founded Remark Glass alongside Rebecca and Mark. Now also a mother of two, Danielle enjoys her “personal” time as a human jungle gym.
